The Circular Economy
The circular economy is a sustainable economic model that aims to minimize waste and the use of resources. This approach encourages innovation, reduces environmental impact, and promotes the efficient use of resources. Since 1990, Katun has been embracing the circular economy, doing our part for a more sustainable future for generations to come.
Save green while going green
Sustainable Products
We actively participate in the circular economy – by selling remanufactured, recycled or refilled imaging supplies* that provide our dealer and distributor customers with high quality, cost-effective replacement parts. We pioneered the way by introducing the refilled-OEM cartridge concept in 2008 and have gone on to introduce several more versions for various applications, saving an abundance of plastic waste from landfill. Katun also makes every effort to offer eco-friendly options across services and programs to allow customers to make “green” choices.

Product Recycling & Reforestation
Environmental Programs
Katun makes it easy for businesses to participate in the circular economy. We strongly encourage dealers, partners, distributors, and the businesses they serve to get involved in our environmental programs and take the following actions:
- Recycle as many used drum cores and toner cartridges as you can
- Help minimize the impact on our planet by disposing of waste responsibly
- Contribute to the availability of high-quality, cost-saving remanufactured products from Katun for use in printers, copiers, and multifunction printers (MFPs)
Print It, Plant It
In many regions around the world, Katun offers the “Print It, Plant It” Reforestation program, in partnership with PrintReleaf™, which enables Katun customers, dealers and end-users to contribute to the reforestation of global forests by offsetting their paper output and converting pages printed into trees.

We greatly encourage our customers to return all of their used cartridges and drum units to our collection partners, so we can keep providing you with remanufactured products for use in a wide range of OEM brands and divert waste from landfills.
